Once a sleepy, traditional Costa Rican fishing village; Coco beach is also well known among the locals and is the most frequently visited beach in the province of Guanacaste!
The reasons for Coco’s popularity, is that it contains:
- the longest dry season in all of Costa Rica
- numerous restaurants and abundant nightlife
- well known sports-fishing and dive tours
- gateway access to prime surf spots (Witch’s Rock / Ollie’s Point)
- a close proximity to
Daniel Oduber International Airport in
Liberia
The infrastructure in Coco Beach is very well maintained; housing North American style supermarkets and several banks, as well as plenty of hotels, shops, restaurants and two casinos: Coco Verde &
Flor de Itabo.
Throughout the the entire dry-season (November through April), sunny blue skies are a daily occurrence, and when the sets sun sets, it sometimes paints the entire town in fiery orange flames.
